Portside Marine was started in 1983 in Danvers Massachusetts by Ron LeBlanc. Ronnie built Portside into one of the area's best known marine service shops, servicing everything from inboards, inboard-outboards, to all kinds of outboards. In 1986 Portside Marine grew with his son Rob joining the team. Ronnie and Rob grew the business to the point where they were doing service for the areas larger marinas as well as their own customers.
In 2001, after Ronnie's passing, Rob took the helm and bought the property that is now Portside's current home on Liberty Street on the Danvers River. Rob has continued to make a name for Portside with his years of experience and vast knowledge of marine engines, both outboard and inboard. Rob has over 30 years of hands on experience and factory certifications that make him the area's best. Portside's mechanics work side by side with Rob to expand on their skills, learning from the best.
In 1998 Peter Bramberg joined Portside as a partner to run the business end of the company along with running the overall facility. Peter's knowledge and experience in business and with boats have helped Portside grow and implement the continued modernization of Portside.
Today both Rob and Pete have been successful in their combined goal of turning Portside Marine into one of the North Shores finest repair, haulout and storage facilities. Portside Marine has become the area's Premier Platinum Mercury and Mercuiser Dealership, carrying a full line of Mercury products, including engines and Mercury Inflatable's. All of our techs are Mercury and Volvo certified and attend continuing education classes several times a year to ensure that they are current with today's modern marine engines and technology. Portside has a large full service parts counter and a fully stocked retail store that can handle all customers' needs. The parts and service counter is staffed by knowledgeable professionals that are committed to giving the best service possible. Portside Marine has become one of the North Shores most well equipped boatyards. Its service facility boasts a 35 ton Marine Travel-lift , a 20 ton Travel-lift, several forklifts as well as an extensive list of modern equipment that allows the staff to tackle any repair work brought in, whether it by land or water. Rob, Pete and the staff at Portside Marine continue on with the values that Ronnie built the business on.
